Last week my seatmate/team mate/LSS cum duet partner celebrated her 40th 2__th birthday and as a treat, she brought for us to feast on, her mouth-watering, appetite inducing bagoong rice.

Bagoong Rice

Kitchen dimwits like me were bowled over. We can’t get over how good it was. She is kind enough to share with us (surprise, surprise Carmela!) , her quick and easy to do Bagoong Rice recipe for us to try. Here it is:

RECIPE
For toppings:
green mangoes, cut into strips
pan-fried tocino, cut into strips
onions, cut into strips and sauteed
scrambled eggs, cut into strips

For rice:
Barrio Fiesta bagoong, 1 small can/3 cups of rice
ginger,minced
garlic, minced
onions, chopped
1/3 cup of water
chicken powder
pepper

Directions:
1. Prepare toppings separately.
2. Saute garlic, onions and ginger.
3. Add bagoong and water.
4. Let it simmer.
5. Add rice and mix well.
6. Add chicken powder and pepper.
7. Put on toppings and serve.

That was fast and easy. Don’t you just love quickie recipes?!:)
